Young Artists in Residence Summer Camp
July 27th-August 2nd, 2024

IB Arts Programme – Course Description

At ‘Young Artists in Residence (YAIR),’ budding IB art enthusiasts immerse themselves in the vast realm of both performing and visual arts. This includes exploring diverse disciplines like painting, sculpture, collage, photography, classical and modern music, composition, film, pantomime, acting, and musical performance.

What makes Young Artists in Residence (YAIR) unique?

Young Artists in Residence (YAIR) is different from the many other art camps for teenagers because of its uniquely interdisciplinary approach to IB art studies and art making, its proximity to the magical Fin de Siècle Jugendstil treasures in Vienna, and the expansively multicultural make up of its students and faculty (coming from all over the world).

Experience art galleries, museum exhibitions, concerts and more …

PRE IB & MID IB (IBDP Year 1+2) students will dive into and experience breathtaking art galleries, outstanding museum exhibitions, and selected concerts, theatre-, dance- and film- related events during their stay. Our passionate experts will inspire YAIR participants to inquire about modern and historic art, as well as understand and learn about the artists who made it.

An important part of this workshop is the focus on IB – related concepts, the IB syllabus and criteria to support our students’ IB arts course work and to further their development as IB scholars.
